Featured Artist: The Hounds Below

Jason Stollsteimer (The Von Bondies) has a new project called the Hounds Below. Channelling Roy Orbison, his crooning voice will probably break your heart. Or at least put a spell on it. They're the only American band playing the festival this year, coming from Detroit and we're pretty sure they're the next big thing out of the Motor City.

If you saw them opening for The Sadies this past Winter, then you already know how amazing they are.

Advertise in our program!

We're looking for awesome downtown businesses to advertise in our program. The program is going to be beautiful!

Our program this year will be 16 (8 double sided), 14x21.5cm, black and white pages. We will be printing 2000 copies and they will be available for free to all patrons. The program will include the full schedule of events for the festival, a map of all festival locations, descriptions of performers, and information about Oh! Fest and Car Free Festival.

Many of our downtown business partners are creating Oh! Fest weekend coupons to go along with their ads. We want this weekend to be as successful as possible and that includes getting our Oh! Fest patrons into downtown businesses and restaurants.

Cousins

I'm pretty sure 85% of London owns a Cousins t-shirt. Whether it's because they're one of the greatest bands coming out of Halifax, Nova Scotia these days, or because their tank tops are only $10, we're happy happy happy to announce that they will be playing Oh! Fest this year.

Check out their new 7" on band camp. Only $5 digitally.. or maybe you can buy a real one when they're here in September.

Eat Local

Some of the most amazing bands playing Oh! Fest are from London. We're very excited to be showcasing so much local fare. You can check a whole bunch of bands who are playing (and a whole bunch more who aren't) on the Oh! Compilation 2. Lucky for you, it's all on bandcamp. You can listen to it for free or download it for only $4. We want your ears to be properly prepared for Oh! Fest so we'd recommend putting this in your ipod and listening to it non-stop until September 16th.

Bry Webb to play!

We're happy to announce that Bry Webb (ex-the Constantines) will be playing Oh! Fest. The Constantines have always held a special place in London's heart and we're pretty sure you're going to lose your mind over Bry's raspy, heart breaking solo project. He'll be bringing along a stand up bass and slide guitar player!
